January Favorites

Of course I couldn’t resist collecting a few of my favorite things from January to share with you! January is always full of fresh starts and trying new things, these products were all new to me at the start of the new year and now I can’t imagine life without them. I got all of these at Target except for the Chloé which I spotted at Nordstrom one day. They’re bargains that are just too tempting not to love.

Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo:
I tend to only wash my hair two or three times a week. Staying away from shampoo can really help keep your hair healthy. Minimum exposure to the harsh chemicals and embracing your natural oils builds strong locks. I usually could pass on the dry shampoo and my hair would be alright for a few days of not washing it, but I found fine hair and bangs not to be the best of combinations. So after shopping around and trying different ways to keep my bangs looking fresh I found this awesome product! A lot of dry shampoos I’ve experienced work for only a few hours and cause a ton of build-up, however, this dry shampoo feels so light weight on my hair and it absorbs excess oils like none I have ever seen. And I don’t have to apply it multiple times throughout the day! Definitely one of my favorites.

Maybelline Volum’Express Falsies Big Eyes Mascara (Very Black):
I love a good mascara. Who knows how many different mascara’s I own, but this month I was looking for something to make my lashes dark and bold – long and voluminous. I have never tried this collection before and I wasn’t sure about it at first, but the bottom lash applicator on the other end grabbed me. I’m glad that I gave this a try; it goes on dark and thick and the bottom lash brush works like a charm. Great for those dramatic eye days.

Twinings Chai Tea French Vanilla:
When I was in school my go to was a nice hot french vanilla chai tea. While normal chai tea is great and all, french vanilla anything will always be a winner – and the combination of the two is to die for. I splash in a bit of french vanilla creamer with this to make it more creamy and sweet and end up drinking it all day. Delicious!

Black Radiance Lipstick (5117):
So I may not be the target customer for this beauty brand but this lipstick is amazing. I looked so long for a purple lipstick from Maybelline (my go to lipstick brand) and was disappointed by the empty section of beautiful purple shades. I don’t know if I just have bad timing or if no where keeps a large stock of this color – but they should. But I’m open to new things and lets be honest I don’t even acknowledge the size of clothing, if it looks good then it looks good. Bam, that’s when I saw a the perfect shade of purple lipstick and put it in my shopping cart. It goes on so smooth and has this matte look that lasts all day (no joke!).

Chloé Eau de Parfum:
This mini bottle of Chloé perfume is my new favorite fragrance. I like perfumes that are subtle but definitely noticeable when you go in for a handshake or a hug. I wear it most days, only changing it up sometimes because I don’t want to run out! It’s simple, it’s elegant, it’s Chloé – you can’t go wrong here.
